1.    Who is behind This is Why We’re Fat?


A proud Montrealer with an unconditional love for food.


2.    Do restaurants pay to you write?


No. To maintain the highest level of integrity, I do not get paid nor are my visits comped by the restaurants  I write about. Rest assured that any perks, freebies and sponsored posts will be fully disclosed with the  audience.


3.    When you’re at a restaurant, do you tell them who you are and what you do?


Absolutely not. I don’t expect and I don’t want anyone to go out of their way to make my experience more memorable than the stranger sitting next to me. I just want to blend in with the crowd and let them do what they normally do. 


4.    Why do you include negative reviews?


They're just as important as positive ones. People always want to know about the good, but if I were people, I'd want to know about the bad. I can't tell you how many times I've been disappointed by a restaurant, wishing someone had warned me beforehand. 


5.    Why should I believe what you write about?


Everything expressed in my blog reflects my personal opinion and experiences. We all have different  tastes and standards, and there are too many variable factors that play into and shape our individual  experiences. In the end, you have to try it out for yourself and come up with your own conclusions. I’m simply here to give you my two cents.


6.    What qualifies you to do what you do?


I’m not a chef and I don’t have a restaurant background, but I do come from a rich heritage that celebrates food. I’m curious, open-minded and I love to eat. And let's face it, I don't need years of prestigious culinary training to tell you what I like and what I don't like. You just have to remember that i'm sharing my personal opinion. Take it or leave it. 


7.    How do I get my restaurant featured on This is Why We’re Fat?


The most you can do is send me an e-mail with a brief breakdown of your restaurant, mention me on Twitter or leave me a message on Facebook. If it sparks my  interest, I’ll happily drop by unannounced and undercover.


8.     How can I contribute to This is Why We’re Fat?


This is Why We’re Fat is currently a solo project but who knows what the future holds. In the meantime, I want to hear from you! If you want to suggest your favorite restaurant, send your lovely or mean-spirited  comments my way or let me in on the latest food-talk of the town, feel free to contact me via e-mailTwitter or Facebook.
